IMPORTANT: New rate plans should be created only if they are characterized by specific elements making them unique and different from other rate plans, such as: payment terms, cancellation policy, meal plans, time of the reservation (early booking, last minute).
A new rate plan should not be created if the only difference is in price for specific dates (If your requirement is only to have different rates for booking dates, you must go to section "Daily Rates" where you can manage the prices of the same rate plan depending on the reservation dates)
To add a new rate plan:
- In Settings / Rates & Availability section you will find a subsection named "Rate Plans". There you will have an option to "Add Rate Plan"
- In the popup window you can update the rate plan details including its specific characteristics and constraints (rate plan name, room types it applies for, payment conditions, cancellation policies, meal plans ...)
- Options that differentiate one rate plan from another:
Do you require prepayment? : Activate this option if you want to charge your guests in advance once the reservation is made. If you have this option switched on and you have a payment gateway integrated to your Nuevah account each reservation will be charged automatically (see more in:How can I process payments with a payment gateway integrated?)
Is there a period when the guest can cancel free of charge? : This option allows you to configure cancellation conditions, this information will only be displayed in the booking engine
Cancellation policy: Add manual/custom cancellation policy in different languages, this information will only be displayed in the booking engine
What meal plan?: Select the meal plans included, this information will only be displayed in the booking engine
When should this rate be displayed?: You can choose to display a rate plan all the time, make it “early booker” (displayed only a specific number of days advance) or “last minute” rate (displayed only close to arrival date).
